Softball honored with Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete accolades
June 25, 2019The championship Muskingum softball team was honored by the National Fastpitch Coaching Association by having 15 players recognized with Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete accolades. -
Hughes named NFCA Third Team All-American
May 23, 2019Muskingum softball senior outfielder Krissy Hughes was honored for her outstanding season by being named NFCA Third Team All-American.

Hughes, Hawk, Eberling, and Meade named NFCA Division III All-Central Region
May 15, 2019Muskingum softball senior outfielder Krissy Hughes and freshman designated player Haley Hawk were named NFCA Division III First Team All-Central Region and advanced to the NFCA All-American ballot. Senior pitcher/outfielder Rachel Eberling and sophomore infielder Jaelyn Meade were named Third Team All-Central Region.

May 06, 2019Muskingum softball Head Coach Kari Winters and assistant coaches Courtney Moyer, Hannah Murphy, and Steve Cowgill were named the Donna J. Newberry Ohio Athletic Conference Coaching Staff of the Year, senior outfielder Krissy Hughes was named the OAC Gayle Lauth Player of the Year and freshman Hayley Hawk was named the OAC Rookie of the Year to highlight Muskingum's six All-OAC honorees.

May 01, 2019The Muskingum softball team received votes in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Top 25 poll. The Muskies received eight points in the poll. The NFCA Division III Top 25 Poll is selected by Division III head coaches representing the eight NCAA regions.

Smith named OAC Softball Pitcher of the Week
April 29, 2019Muskingum freshman pitcher Hannah Smith was named OAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for her spectacular play on Saturday vs. Ohio Northern. Smith led the Muskies to a 2-0 slate in the OAC and helped clinch the OAC Regular Season Championship and secure the top-seed and hosting rights for the OAC Softball Tournament.

April 27, 2019The Muskingum softball team swept Ohio Northern on Senior Day to win the Ohio Athletic Conference Regular Season Championship and hosting rights for the OAC Softball Tournament. The Muskies claimed the opener, 6-4 and took game two, 8-0 in six innings.

April 22, 2019Muskingum senior outfielder Krissy Hughes was named OAC Softball Hitter of the Week for the second time this season due to her spectacular play on Tuesday vs. Marietta and Thursday vs. Heidelberg. Hughes helped lead the Muskies to an overall 4-0 record on the week.

Softball blasts Heidelberg to set up showdown for OAC Regular Season Title
April 18, 2019The Muskingum softball team blasted the Heidelberg Student Princes on Saturday. The Muskies claimed the opener, 10-2 in five innings and secured game two, 13-3 in five innings. The Muskie sweep now sets up a showdown next Saturday, April 27 for the Ohio Athletic Conference Regular Season Title when the Muskies host the Ohio Northern Polar Bears for Senior Day.
