The Muskingum men's golf team placed fifth in the seven-team field at the Mount Union Fall Invitational Saturday-Sunday.
The Basics
- Muskingum shot a two-day total of 616 (311-305) to mark its lowest total of the season.
- The invitational was played at the Tannehauf Golf Club in Alliance, Ohio.
- The course was a par 72 and 6694 yards long.
- Mount Union hosted the event.
On The Course
- Sophomore Jacob Van Leeuwen led the Muskies with a 147 (74-73) to finish tied for fifth in the 65-golfer field. It marked Van Leeuwen's lowest round of the season.
- Junior Luke Janci finished tied for 11th with a season-best 150 (77-73).
- Freshman Josh Faulkner shot a career-best 156 (74-82) to finish tied for 27th.
- Freshman Andy Cornell shot a 160 (80-80) to finish tied for 38th.
- Junior Austin Wilkinson rounded out the Muskie scoring with a 161 (82-79) to finish tied for 42nd.
- Baldwin Wallace won the team title with a 596 (298-298).
- Scott Schroeder of Baldwin Wallace won medalist honors with a 142 (71-71).
