Muskingum Golf Facilities

Muskingum's athletic resources extend beyond the University and into the surrounding communities.

Through partnerships with the Cambridge Country Club and EagleSticks Golf Club, the golf team has the opportunity to compete and practice at the finest facilities in southeastern Ohio.

Cambridge Country Club was established in 1903. The 150 acre site is located on gentling rolling terrain featuring a beautifully landscaped 18-hole championship course and full clubhouse. The private facility is one of the finest layouts in the area

Built on 150 acres of hilly farmland near Zanesville, Ohio, EagleSticks Golf Club has rolling fairways, undulating greens and constant elevation changes. Numerous gorgeous waterfalls, and pristine woodlands of oak, maple, ash, locust, walnut and cherry trees add to its intrinsic beauty.

Dr. Michael Hurdzan, one of Ohio’s most renowned architects, created a design that includes plush, bentgrass fairways and greens, protected by a total of 90 sand bunkers. Multiple teeing areas and larger putting greens ensure that the course is playable for all.

Challenging and compact at 6,500 yards from the blues, EagleSticks is a course that clearly favors accuracy over power. With more than 100 feet of elevation change, most tee boxes are located on the highest ground, so you’ll be treated to panoramic views on most holes before hitting down to the fairways.

EagleSticks was honored in 1992 by Golf Digest as the nation’s second best new 18-hole daily fee golf course. In 1997, Golf Digest awarded EagleSticks the highest ranking among all public golf courses in Ohio.
