Muskingum Finishes Second at the Daniel Mullen Memorial Invitational

The Muskingum women's cross country team finished second at the Daniel Mullen Memorial Invitational on Saturday at Moorehead Farm. Muskingum was led by sophomore Rosemary Stephens with a time of 25:23.8, which earned her a 4th-place finish.

The Course

  • Moorehead Farm - New Concord, Ohio
  • The event was a 6K race.
  • The Muskies tallied a total of 44 points.

Notable

  • The invitational is in honor of Daniel Mullen, who was a 2015 graduate of Muskingum, where he was a member of the cross country and track & field teams. He helped lead the men's cross country squad to a 10th-place finish at the 2012 NCAA Regional Meet, which tied for the best finish in school history. 

How it Happened

  • Sophomore Rosemary Stephens recorded a 4th place finish with a time of 25:23.8.
  • Sophomore Abigail Derry registered a time of 26:20.7 to finish 6th.
  • Freshman Caroline Kennel earned 7th place, finishing with a time of 26:44.4
  • Sophomore Jillian Ayres recorded a time of 27:58.5 to finish 13th.
  • Sophomore Averi Schwendeman finished with a time of 28:17.2 to finish 14th.
