Before arriving in New Concord, Fischer was a five-year starter on the Hiram College men’s volleyball team. He was a member of the founding team in 2017, and served as the captain of the team for the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Fischer also tallied multiple accolades including: 2020 AMCC Libero of the Year, 2020 AMCC First Team All-Conference, 2021 AMCC Second Team All-Conference, 2021 AMCC Regular Season Champions, 2021 AMCC Tournament Champions, 2021 NCAA Tournament Berth, 2022 AMCC Second Team All-Conference.  

Fischer had the opportunity to be a camp coach at Hiram for both the men's and women's programs. The camps ranged from ages 10-16 where Fisher assisted the head coaches in developing the fundamental skills of the young athletes involved. 

From 2017-19 during the month of August, Fischer was a Gates-Chili and Spencerport High School volunteer assistant. He also completed an internship with the Hiram football team as an assistant to the coaching staff while learning more about what it takes to be a coach.  

Fischer graduated from Hiram in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in sports management.
