Muskingum freshman outside/opposite hitter Mackenzie Krous was honored for her outstanding season by being named the Ohio Athletic Conference Volleyball Newcomer of the Year.

Krous is the first Muskie to receive the recognition since the award debuted in 1999. She also received Second Team All-OAC honors. 

Krous led the Muskies with 218 kills and 2.69 kills per set. She also added 204 digs, 22 service aces, and 20 blocks.

This season, Krous registered a career-high 25 kills against Mount Union and recorded double-digit kills in nine matches.
