The Muskingum volleyball team won both of their games in four sets against John Carroll in Ohio Athletic Conference action on Friday evening. The Muskies won Game 1 3-1 (25-23, 19-25, 25-18, 25-11), then followed it up in Game 2 with a 3-1 (25-19, 23-25, 25-21, 25-13) victory

Game 1
Inside The Numbers
- Junior Maddie McGee guided the Muskies with a team-high 17 kills.
- Senior Brooke Fatheree added nine kills and notched 14 digs.
- Senior Erin Dickson recorded a team-high 26 assists during the match.
- Sophomore Emma Dunham and freshman Hannah Grove each chipped in seven kills for Muskingum.
- Senior Kamryn Smith logged a career-best 15 digs.
- As a team, the Muskies registered 50 kills, 40 assists, and 61 digs.
- Cassa Calamunci led John Carroll 16 kills and 13 digs.
- Ally Bartolone aided the Blue Streak attack with 32 assists.
- As a team, John Carroll earned 45 kills, 40 assists, and 55 digs.
The Difference
- In set one, both teams fought back and forth for the entire set with no one claiming more then a three point lead. A kill by McGee gave Muskingum the two point win, 25-23.
- In set two, the teams were once again neck and neck for most of the set. John Carroll went on a 10-4 run to lock in the set, 25-19.
- In set three, John Carroll started off a quick 7-3 lead until the Muskies notched a 7-0 run to take the lead 11-7. With the score tied, 12-12, Muskingum went on 14-6 run to finish the set on a strong note and head into the fourth set with momentum.
- In set four, Muskingum dominated most of the set going on a 12-1 run to widen the gap at 17-6. A bad set from John Carroll earned the Muskies a 25-11 victory and win in Game 1.
Game 2
Inside The Numbers
- Leading the attack was McGee tallying a team-high 18 kills.
- Fatheree added 16 kills and registered a team-high 19 digs
- Dunham notched 14 kills for Muskingum, while sophomore Gracie Collins chipped in career-best 18 digs.
- Dickson tallied a team-high 30 assists and grabbed 14 digs during the match.
- As a team, the Muskies recorded 69 kills, 65 assists, and 79 digs.
- Calamunci led the Blue Streaks with 16 kills and 14 digs.
- Jennifer Follmer added 13 kills while Bartolone dished out 24 assists.
- As a team, John Carroll registered 48 kills, 46 assists, and 64 digs.
The Difference
- In set one, with the score tied 4-4 the Muskies used an 8-3 run to take control of the set and make it 12-7. Muskingum held a 20-12 lead but saw the Blue Streaks make a strong comeback to make it 22-19. The Muskies secured the last three points to earn the win, 25-19.
- In set two, both fought back and forth for the entire set and saw John Carroll squeak out the set win, 25-23.
- In set three, the teams battled once again for most of the set until the Muskies finished the set with an 8-3 run to earn the 25-21 victory.
- In set four, the game was tight throughout with each team sharing small leads. The Muskies finished the contest going on a 10-4 run to secure the set 25-13 and the Game 2 win.
