The Muskingum volleyball team returns home after finishing 3-1 overall at the St. Vincent Tournament. Following the tournament, senior Katie Hunt was named to the all-tournament team.
The Basics
- Head coach Hallie Donathan claimed her first career win as a head coach over Carlow, 3-1.
- Hunt earned all-tourmanet team honors.
Game 1 - Muskingum 3, Carlow 2 (24-26, 19-25, 25-17, 25-17, 15-10)
How It Happened
- As a team, the Muskies had 48 kills, 65 digs, and nine blocks.
At the Net
- Hunt led the Muskies with a game-high 13 kills.
- Junior Chloe Brandewie and junior Courtney Nestoff both added 10 kills each.
- Junior Rose LeVally added seven kills.
- Defending the net for Muskingum was Hunt and Brandewie with a game-high four blocks each.
- Carlow was led by Kritina Hudock with a team-high 12 kills.
Assisting the Attack
- Freshman Rhieannae Cory recorded 25 assists.
- Freshman Kennedy Brown and sophomore Jordan Youngs had four assists each.
Defending the Court
- Junior Deidre Prince stole the spotlight by recording a team-high 19 digs.
- Nestoff not only found success at the net but in the back row as she recorded 15 digs for Muskingum.
- Youngs racked up 14 digs.
Game 2—Wooster 3, Muskingum 0 (22-25, 10-25, 17-25)
How It Happened
- Muskingum recorded a team total 30 kills, 54 digs and seven blocks.
At The Net
- The Muskie attack was led by Hunt with a team-high eight kills.
- Brandewie recorded five kills and one block.
- The Fighting Scots were led by Ksenia Klue with a game-high 10 kills.
Assisting the Attack
- Cory guided the attack with 16 assists.
- The Scots were led by Taylor Mathews with a game-high 28 assists.
Defending the Court
- Nestoff led the way in the back court recording a team-high 16 digs.
- Prince recorded 13 digs.
- Gabrielle Basinski of Wooster racked up 17 digs.
Game 3 - Muskingum 3, Franciscan 0
How It Happened
- Muskingum recorded a team total 35 kills, 25 digs and 18 blocks.
At the Net
- Brandewie led the attack with a team-high nine kills.
- Hunt chipped in eight kills.
- Nestoff, junior Mackenzie O'Shea and sophomore Miranda Plumly all had five kills each.
Assisting the Attack
- Cory aided in the attack with a team-high 19 assists.
- Brown added 12 assists.
Defending the Court
- Prince defended the back line, racking up a team-high 11 digs.
- Nestoff finished the contest with seven digs.
Game 4 - Muskingum 3, Allegheny 1 (25-16, 11-25, 25-21, 25-19)
How It Happened
- Muskingum recorded a team total 46 kills, 42 assists and 35 digs.
At the Net
- Brandewie led the attack with 11 kills.
- Nestoff also found success at the net as she recorded nine kills.
- O'Shea recorded eight kills.
Assisting the Attack
- Cory recorded 22 assists.
- Brown dished out 16 assists.
Defending the Court
- Prince led the team with 10 digs.
- Nestoff digged up eight kills for the Muskies.
