The Muskingum volleyball team went 3-1 at the Wooster Invitational on Friday-Saturday. Following the tournament, sophomore Taylour Fatheree was named to the all-tournament team.
Game 1 — Bluffton 3, Muskingum 0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-20)
At the Net
- Sophomore Taylour Fatheree had had a team-high 11 kills and two blocks.
- Junior Katie Hunt added 10 kills and one block.
- Senior Brooke Scott had seven spikes.
- Mackenzie McFarlin led Bluffton with 15 kills.
Assisting the Attack
- Sophomore Laura Hill registered 16 assists.
- Sophomore Taylor Mathews aided the attack with 15 assists.
- Erin Weisgarber guided the Beaver attack with 33 assists.
Defending the Court
- Senior Lane Browning notched 10 digs.
- Freshman Allison Guckes had seven digs.
- Sydney Mohler recorded 11 digs for Bluffton.
Game 2 — Muskingum 3, Capital 2 (19-25, 25-18, 16-25, 25-22, 15-9)
At the Net
- Fatheree hammered home 13 kills and had five blocks.
- Scott blasted 12 kills.
- Hunt had eight spikes and seven blocks.
- Becca Kapavik logged 12 kills for Capital.
Assisting the Attack
- Hill directed the attack with 21 assists.
- Katie Weilbacher led Capital with 33 assists.
Defending the Court
- Guckes and Browning each had 10 digs each to pace the Muskie backcourt.
- Jessica Winstel registered 16 digs to lead the Crusaders.
Game 3 — Muskingum 3, Pitt-Bradford 0 (25-23, 25-13, 25-22)
At the Net
- Fatheree lead the team with 15 kills and added three blocks.
- Hunt had 13 kills.
- Kirsten Platz logged seven kills for Pitt-Bradford.
Assisting the Attack
- Mathews had a team-best 18 assists.
- Hill aided the attack with 17 assists.
- Christina Rauh had 33 18 assists for Pitt-Bradford.
Defending the Court
- Guckes and sophomore Deidre Prince each had nine digs each to pace the Muskie backcourt.
Game 4 — Muskingum 3, Oberlin 2 (25-12, 15-25, 25-17, 17-25, 15-9)
At the Net
- Fatheree had 14 kills and had four blocks
- Scott blasted 12 kills and logged two blocks.
- Hunt had 11 spikes and three blocks.
- Dana Thomas logged 14 kills to lead Oberlin.
Assisting the Attack
- Mathews had a team-best 17 assists.
- Hill aided the attack with 16 assists.
- Meredith Leung had 37 assists for Oberlin.
Defending the court
- Browning recorded 14 digs.
- Prince had a team-high 22 digs.
- Molly Powers notched 28 digs to lead Oberlin.
