McAdams concludes outstanding career with 15th-place finish at NCAA Championships

Muskingum senior Macy McAdams concluded her outstanding career with a 15th-place finish in the 10K at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Irwin Balk Track in Greensboro, North Carolina on Thursday night.

McAdams registered a time of 37:59.09 to finish 15th in the 19-runner field. Her fastest lap was 1:18.69. 

She qualified for the championships when she set the new school 10K record with a time of 35:58.68 at the OAC Elite Meet, where she finished first in the event. She broke the previous record of 38:15.10 that was set by Harriett Schneid in 1992.

McAdams also set the school record for the 5,000-meter run at the OAC Championships, where she earned All-OAC honors, finishing second with a mark of 17:26.19. She broke the previous mark of 18:00.33 that was set by Julie Fobes in 2017.
