Fobes sets school record to lead Women's Track and Field at Slippery Rock

Senior Julie Fobes led the Muskingum women's track and field team at the Slippery Rock Invitational as she set the school record in the 3,000-meter run.

The Basics 

  • Location: Slippery Rock, Pa. - Mihalik-Thompson Stadium
  • The meet was not scored.

On the Track

  • Fobes captured first place in the 3,000-meter run with a school record time of 10:29.85, breaking the previous record of 10:32.18 set in 1992. 
  • Sophomore Reilly Walsh finished fourth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 11:36.04, followed by senior Hannah Gregory in sixth with a time of 12:07.06. Sophomore Skylar Cowan finished 10th in the event in a time of 15:11.55.
  • In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, sophomore Keely Ames finished fourth with a time of 13:05.32.

In the Field 

  • Freshman Emily Ellyson recorded a second-place finish in the high jump with a jump of 1.53 meters.
  • In the pole vault, sophomore Reannah Martin finished eighth with a height of 2.86 meters.
