Schultz sets school record in 60 meter hurdles to fuel Women's Indoor T&F at Muskie Meet #4

Sophomore Kilikina Schultz set the 60 meter hurdles school record and fueled the women's indoor track & field team to a second place finish at Muskie Meet #4.

  • Sophomore Kilikina Schultz set the school record in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.67. This broke the previous record time of 9.74 that was held by Mary Briceland (2014)

The Basics

  • Location: Bullock Health and Wellness Complex – New Concord, Ohio
  • Muskingum scored 115 points as a team to finish second at the event.
  • Wilmington won the team title with a total team score of 117 points.

On The Track

  • Sophomore Kilikina Schultz recorded a time of 9.67 in the 60 meter hurdles to set the school record in the event! 
  • Sophomore Abigail Derry secured a first place finish in the 800 meters after recording a time of 2:22.00.
  • Freshman Caroline Kennel notched a first place finish following a time of 11:05.21 in the 3000 meters.
  • Sophomore Averi Wallace placed second in the 200 meters with a time of 27.37.
  • The 4x200 meter relay team of freshman Chloe Honeycutt, sophomore Kilikina Schultz, freshman Sarah St.Germain, and senior Hailey Wilson placed second with a time of 1:58.08.
  • Sophomore Izabella Erlenbach snagged a fourth place finish in the 400 meters with a time of 1:10.20.
  • Freshman Shannon Cooper earned a fifth place finish in the 60 meters with a time of 8.37.

In the Field

  • Freshman Jessica Dotson finished first in the shot put with a mark of 11.59 meters. 
  • Sophomore Avrie O'Neil secured a first place finish in the weight throw with a mark of 13.91 meters.
  • Sophomore Savannah Strawmyer notched a second place finish in the pole vault with a mark of 2.75 meters.
  • Freshman Marissa Hill grabbed a second place finish with a mark of 1.49 meters in the high jump.
  • Freshman Chelsea Daniel finished fifth in the high jump with a mark of 1.34 meters

  • Muskingum will be back in action when they compete at the OAC Championships. The Championships are set to take place in the Bullock Health and Wellness Complex at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23, and 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 24.
