McAdams named OAC Women’s Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week

The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that graduate senior Macy McAdams was named the Women's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week for her first-place finish in the 3000-meter run at the historic Muskingum Meet.

McAdams tallied first place in the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:26.34 to pace the Muskies. McAdams' time sets the benchmark for the facility record in the event, as it was the first indoor meet hosted inside Muskingum's state-of-the-art Bullock Health and Wellness Complex. The meet also marked the first indoor track and field event hosted on Muskingum's campus in school history.

McAdams is coming off a fall season that saw her name etched into the Muskingum record books in Cross Country. McAdams was named the OAC Women's Cross Country Outstanding Performer of the Year, she became the first Muskie to clinch the individual OAC title since 1991, and she also became the first Muskie in school history to qualify for and compete in the NCAA Cross Country National Championship.

McAdams and the Muskies will be back in action this Saturday, January 21, when they host their second straight Muskingum Meet at the Bullock Health and Wellness Complex. The event is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
