How It Happened
Muskingum grabbed early control in the match by winning second and third doubles. Lindsay Brindack and Kristen Chandler won 8-3 against Liz Ensiminger and Noelle Hughes at second doubles, while Katie King and Elisabeth Kuhn cruised to an 8-0 win at third doubles.
The Muskies carried the early momentum into singles play and won five of the six matches to seal the home win. Brittany Besancon secured a 6-1, 6-1 win at second singles and Brindack won a thriller at third singles against Heidi Evans 6-3, 5-7, 1-0 (12-10). Kristen Chandler won 6-2, 6-1 at fourth singles and Kuhn grabbed a 6-1, 6-0 win at fifth singles. King rounded out the strong performance with a 6-1, 6-1 win at sixth singles.
