Bishop and Waite named Academic All-Ohio

Muskingum women's soccer senior forward Miranda Bishop and junior defender Rachael Waite were honored by the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association by being named Second Team Academic All-Ohio.

Bishop, a petroleum geology major, was earlier recognized with Honorable Mention All-Ohio Athletic Conference accolades. During her senior campaign, Bishop had a career-high four goals and two assists for 10 points, which was tied for a team best. Throughout her four-year career, she appeared in 61 games, with 51 starts. Bishop ended her tenure ranked 12th all-time in assists with eight.

Waite, a chemistry major and captain, helped anchor the Muskie defensive backline. She played in all 18 games, with 17 starts

The Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association is one of the oldest and most prestigious college soccer associations in the nation. The OCSA represents all National Collegiate Athletic Association divisions (NCAA), all National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics divisions (NAIA) and all National Junior College Athletic Association divisions (NJCAA) in Ohio.
