Women's soccer celebrate Senior Night

The Muskingum women's soccer team celebrated Senior Night on a rainy Tuesday evening against Wilmington in McConagha Stadium. In the end, the Quakers handed the Muskies a 4-0 setback.

The Basics

  • Records: Muskingum (2-14-1 overall, 1-7 OAC), Wilmington (9-7-1 overall, 3-4-1 OAC)
  • Location: New Concord, Ohio - at McConagha Stadium

How It Happened

  • Prior to the game, Muskingum recognized seniors Hailey Dickey, Kelsey Overley, Lauren Hambel and Jennifer Hastings. All four student-athletes are four-year members of the women's soccer program.
  • Wilmington struck first in the 15th minute on a tally by Hannah Greaney that was assisted by Erika Good and Stephanie Max.
  • Muskingum nearly tied the game two minutes later on a pair of corner kicks. On the first corner kick, freshman Emily Wiley and freshman Tori Stuard both had shots blocked in front of the goal. On the second corner kick, Wiley's header inched past the post.
  • The Quakers added two more goals in the 30th and 37th minutes to take a 3-0 lead into the break.
  • Wilminton completed the scoring in the 58th minute.
  • Muskingum mustered six shots on the night. Wiley led the team with two strikes, while junior Morgan Price, Stuard and Dickey all added one.

Between The Pipes

  • Junior Liz Mitchell played all 90 minutes in frame and made a career-high tying 16 saves and allowed four goals.
  • Brittany Ross earned the shutout in frame for Wilmington.
