Muskies stopped at Mount Union

The Muskingum women's soccer team was stopped at Mount Union on a cold Tuesday night, 4-0.

The Muskies now stand at 8-6-2 overall and 1-5 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. Muskingum next travels to league foe Heidelberg on Saturday, October 26. Game time is slated for 1:00 p.m.

Mount Union (11-4-1, 4-2) took the lead in the sixth minute on a goal by Shannon Evans.

The Purple Raiders added its second tally in the 20th minute on Gina Wall's tally.

Mount Union completed the scoring in the second half with goals in the 52nd and 72nd minutes.

Muskingum was paced by senior Moriah Mathies, junior Carissa Myler, freshman Marisa Fluharty, sophomore Hailey Dickey and sophomore Summer Setliff all had one shot.

Muskie junior Melissa Emmerich started the game and recorded three saves and allowed three goals. Freshman Liz Mitchell ended the game and made four saves and allowed one goal.
