Heck leads Wrestling at Pete Willson Invitational

Senior Hunter Heck tallied two wins in the 125-pound weight class to lead the Muskingum wrestling team at the 81st annual Pete Willson Invitational. 

The Basics

  • The two-day event was hosted by Wheaton College in Wheaton, Ill.
  • Muskingum finished 29th out of the 32-team field.
  • The Muskies tallied a total of eight points.
  • North Central won the team title with a score of 136.

On the Mat

  • The Muskies were led by senior Hunter Heck who finished 2-2 in the 125-pound weight class. Heck registered one win via fall and one win via decision to pace Muskingum.
  • Senior Isaac Sell tallied one win in the 184-pound weight class. Sell's win came via fall for Muskingum.
  • Senior Noah DeHainaut competed in the 197-pound weight class and came away with one win for Muskingum. DeHainaut's victory was a 12-0 major decision win.

  • Muskingum will be back in action on Saturday, January 4, when they compete in the John Summa Invite hosted by Baldwin Wallace. The invitational is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. from Berea, Ohio.
