Wrestling competes at Pete Willson Wheaton Invite

The Muskingum wrestling team competed in Pete Willson Wheaton Invite on Friday and Saturday evening.

Leading the Muskies on the mat was freshman Corey Loera, freshman Tanner Donathan, and freshman Hunter Heck. Loera won his first match of the day by fall in 6:01 against Justin Rayner of Mount Union. Donathan fell in tough battles to Noah Nieman of Adrian College by technical fall 17-2 and Grant Morrison of the University of Chicago by a 15-3 major decision. Heck lost in bouts to Sean Redington of Messiah College by fall in 2:54 and Harrison Hadley of Heidelberg by fall in 2:09.

The Muskies next compete at home when they take on Ohio Northern on Senior Night Tuesday, February 11. The matches are set to begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Anne C. Steele Center.
