Women’s Lacrosse falls against Mount Union

The Muskingum women's lacrosse team fell to OAC opponent Mount Union Wednesday evening at North Athletic Turf Field, 20-4.

The Basics

Records: Muskingum (5-8 Overall, 0-4 OAC), Mount Union (9-2 Overall, 4-0 OAC)

Location: North Athletic Turf Field – New Concord, Ohio

How it Happened 

  • Mount Union raced out to a 16-2 lead heading into the break.
  • In the second half, the Purple Raiders used a 4-2 edge en route to secure the victory. 

Inside the Numbers

  • Muskingum was led by sophomore Riley Hudock who tallied two goals, two ground balls, three draw controls, and two caused turnovers.
  • Sophomore Megan Lang recorded a goal and an assist while senior Sara Woods added a goal as well.
  • Freshman Kyleigh Dahlgren played all 60 minutes in the frame and made seven saves on the night.
  • Katie Clark led the Purple Raider offense with four goals.

  • Muskingum next hosts Ohio Northern for its Senior Day on Saturday, April 15. Game time is set for a 1PM start at the North Athletic Turf Field. The Muskies will honor seniors Sara Woods, Valerie Deighton, and Raiyah Johnson prior to the contest.
