Women’s Lacrosse slips at Otterbein

Behind a second-half push from the Cardinals, the Muskingum women's lacrosse team fell in Ohio Athletic Conference action against Otterbein on Friday afternoon, 13-4.

The Basics

Records: Muskingum (5-7 Overall, 0-3 OAC), Otterbein (6-4 Overall, 2-1 OAC)

Location: Memorial Stadium – Westerville, Ohio

 How it Happened

  • The opening quarter saw both teams tied, 1-1. 
  • Otterbein headed into the break with a 3-2 lead.
  • The Cardinals outscored the Muskies 10-2 in the second half to claim the 13-4 victory. 

 Inside the Numbers

  • Sophomores Riley Zwgerman, Megan Lang, Kennedy Norch, and Haley Clfton all contributed a goal in the contest. Norch finished with a team-high three draw controls, while Zwagerman had two.
  • Sophomore Milayna Williams secured a team-high five ground balls, while senior Raiyah Johnson had four. Freshman Zoe Ballard picked up three ground balls as well.
  • Sophomore Riley Hudock finished with two ground balls and two draw controls.
  • Freshman Maria Decaminada and Clifton each dished out an assist.
  • In the net, freshman Kyleigh Dahlgren notched six saves and collected three ground balls.
  • Logan Fox and Lauren Newkirk led Otterbein with three goals apiece.

Muskingum is set to host Mount Union on Wednesday, April 12. Game time is set for a 7PM start at the North Athletic Turf Field.
