Women's lacrosse earns first road win in school history

Muskingum notched its first road win in school history and remained unbeaten on the season with a 16-10 win at Hiram on a cold Wednesday night.

History Made

  • The victory was the first road win in program history. 
  • Muskingum's 16-goal outburst set the school record for goals scored in a game. The previous mark was 15, which the Muskies set in their season-opening win against Thomas More.
  • The win kept Muskingum unbeaten on the season and created the Muskies' first winning streak in school history.

  • Muskingum sophomore Ashley Adams led the Muskie attack with five goals. She has now scored 10 goals through Muskingum's first two games.
  • Sophomore Paige Watterman and junior Julie Kelley each recorded a hat trick with three goals each.
  • Sophomore Katie Megery added a two-goal effort.
  • Senior Carissa Myler scored her first two career goals.
  • Muskingum ended the outing with 26 shots and 24 ground balls.
  • Sophomore Kate Shamel made nine saves and allowed 10 goals to earn the win.
  • Autumn Osgood led Hiram with three goals.
  • Sierah Ray added two goals for the Terriers.
  • Hiram had ended the game with 25 shots and 21 ground balls.

  • After the opening 30 minutes of play, Muskingum led 7-5.
  • Muskingum maintained its momentum in the second half by outscoring the Terriers, 9-5.
