The Muskingum women's lacrosse team won its first game in program history after beating Thomas More on Saturday in McConagha Stadium, 15-9. Sophomore Ashley Adams and sophomore Kaeleigh Norvet each scored five goals to lead the Muskie attack. Between the pipes, sophomore Kate Shamel made 11 saves to preserve the historic win.

• The win marked Muskingum's first-ever program victory.

• Adams scored five goals on seven shots and had one assist. She also had a team-high eight ground balls and a team-best five draw controls.
• Norvet scored five goals on five shots and had one assist. She also had four ground balls.
• Junior Julie Kelley tallied three goals.
• The sophomore tandem of Paige Watterman and Katie Megery each had one strike.
• Sophomore Courtney Cole led the defensive effort with six caused turnovers.
• Shamel played all 60 minutes in frame and made 11 saves and allowed nine goals.
• Muskingum ended the outing with 20 shots and recorded 38 ground balls.
• Josie Perrino led Thomas More with four goals.
• Jeni Hall added three goals.
• Mollie Mosley played in goal for the Saints and allowed 15 goals and made three saves.
• Thomas More ended the game with 23 shots and 44 ground balls.

Inside The Numbers

• Muskingum took control of the outing in the opening 20 minutes of play by building an 8-1 lead. Norvet scored Muskingum's first three goals.
• The Muskies took a 9-3 lead into the break.
