Women's golf competes at Denison

The Muskingum women's golf team opened its fall season at the Lynn Schweizer Invitational hosted by Denison on Saturday-Sunday.

The 19th Hole

  • Sophomore Emmie Miller led the Muskies finishing tied for 57th in the 91-golfer field with a two-day total 192 (100-92).
  • Senior Christine Holmes shot a 246 (125-121) to place 87th.
  • Freshman Sydney Bowers carded a 253 in her first collegiate event to finish 88th.
  • Sophomore Katie Shamel shot a 132 for 18 holes. Sophomore Catie Smith shot shot a one-day total 134.
  • The Muskies shot 957 (489-468).
  • Wittenberg won the team title with a 619 (305-314).
  • Bridgewater's Christina Herbert won medalist honors with a 144 (71-73).
  • The event was held at the Granville Golf Course in Granville, Ohio.
