Harrington ties Career-High as Women's Basketball rolls past Mount Union

Women's Basketball rolled past the Purple Raiders on Wednesday night behind 23 points from sophomore Claudia Harrington.

How It Happened

  • The Muskies overcame an 11 point deficit with 6:00 left in the fourth quarter.
  • They would go on a 16-2 run including shots from sophomore Claudia Harrington, junior Caitlyn DeMassimo, and junior Kenzie Bicking
  • Harrington would get the run going with a three-point shot and a pair of free-throws.
  • Bicking would drill a three pointer followed by a C. DeMassimo layup to bring the Muskies within three.
  • Bicking would then drain another shot from beyond the arc to tie the game up with 2:33 left on the clock.
  • C. DeMassimo would finish out the run with a three-point shot and Muskingum wouldn't give up the lead for the remainder of the game. 

Inside The Numbers

  • Muskingum shot 18-of-55 (32.7%) from the field, 10-of-31 (32.3%) from beyond the arc, and 5-of-8 (62.5%) from the free-throw line.
  • The Muskies combined for 34 rebounds, 12 assists, four steals, and two blocks.
  • Harrington led the Muskies with a career-high tying 23 points. She also added in nine rebounds, one assist, and a pair of steals.

  • The Purple Raiders as a team recorded 42 rebounds, 11 assists, eight steals, three blocks, and 13 turnovers.
  • Mount Union was led by Dae Dae nash who tallied 18 points and six rebounds.
