The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that Muskingum freshman guard Casey Smith was named the OAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her outstanding performance against Thiel on Saturday. Smith helped guide the Muskies to a dominating (81-57) victory against the Tomcats in their season opener.

Smith led the Muskies with a team-high 22 points, shooting 9-of-17 (52.9%) from the field and 4-of-5 (80.0%) from the free-throw line. Smith also tallied six rebounds and dished out four assists. 

The Muskies next travel to Cincinnati, Ohio, to battle the Mount Saint Joseph Lions on Saturday, November 16. The start time is slated for 3:00 p.m.
