The Muskingum women's basketball team fell at home against Ohio Northern on Saturday afternoon, 72-46.
The Muskies were pace by freshman Mallory Taylor's career-high 14 points. She ended the game hitting 5-of-8 from the floor.
Senior Tori Jarrett added eight points and the senior tandem of Meghan Billick and Alexys Settles each scored six points and grabbed seven boards.
Muskingum (5-15, 3-11) shot .250 (16-of-64) from the field.
Ohio Northern (17-4, 10-4) was paced by Jordan Kimes' 15 points and eight rebounds. Cenzie Yoder added nine points and 10 boards.
The Polar Bears shot .509 (27-of-53) from the floor and ended the game with a 43-31 advantage in rebounds.
Ohio Northern took control of the contest from the opening tip. The Polar Bears raced out to a 16-2 lead through the first five minutes of play en route to leading the entire game.
Muskingum next hosts Mount Union on Wednesday, February 12. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
