The Muskingum women's basketball team lost at John Carroll on Saturday afternoon, 81-52.

Senior Meghan Billick led the Muskies with a double-double with a career-best 16 rebounds and 14 points. 

Freshman Anna Voris added a career-high 11 points and freshman Jasmine Goings logged a seven-point, seven-rebound effort.

Muskingum (4-7, 2-3) ended the game shooting .269 (18-of-67) from the field.

John Carroll (9-0, 5-0) was led by Melissa Spahar who registered a double-double with 26 points and 12 boards. Katlyn Spahar added 14 points and five rebounds.

The Blue Streaks shot .470 (31-of-66) from the floor.

John Carroll scored the first six points of the game and used a late surge in final minutes of play in the opening frame to take a 42-24 lead into the intermission.

In the second half, John Carroll led by as many as 31 en route to the win.

Muskingum next travels to Heidelberg on Saturday, January 11. Game time is slated for 3:00 p.m.
