The Muskingum women's basketball team posted an 0-2 record over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend at the Denison Tournament.
The Muskies opened play on Saturday against Denison and suffered an 88-45 setback. On Sunday, Muskingum fell against Allegheny 91-72.
Muskingum now stands at 1-3 overall and will host Wilmington for its home and Ohio Athletic Conference opener on Wednesday, December 4. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m. in the Recreation Center.
Senior Gabbi Davis led the sqaud against Denison with 12 points and three rebounds. Freshman Anna Voris added eight points, while senior Alexys Settles registered a six-point, six-rebound performance.
The Muskies ended the contest shooting .172 (11-of-64) from the field.
Against Allegheny, senior Tori Jarrett led the team with 26 points on 10-of-21 shooting.
Junior Taylor Mauer added 12 points and freshman Jasmine Goings has eight points and eight rebounds.
Muskingum ended the game shooting 29-of-79 (.367) from the floor.
Following the tournament, Jarrett was named to the all-tournament squad.
