Muskingum senior pitcher Hannah Smith was named NFCA Third Team All-Region VII.

Smith, an Honorable Mention All-Ohio Athletic Conference honoree, posted a team-best and career-low 2.17 ERA. This season, Smith tallied a team-best 16 wins with 132 strikeouts. She held opposing batters to a .219 average. Additionally, earlier in the year, she was named to the 2023 Tucci/NFCA Player and Pitcher of the Year watchlist. 

The all-region award honors student-athletes from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association 10 regions with selection to one of three teams. NFCA member head coaches nominate and then vote for the winners in their respective regions.
