Muskingum senior infielder Sarah Piteo was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Softball Hitter of the Week for her exceptional performance in Muskingum's doubleheader split with OAC opponent Otterbein.

Piteo earns the honor after going 6-for-8 at the plate, knocking in four RBIs, and posting a .750 batting average against the Cardinals.

On the season, Piteo has appeared in all 34 games for the Muskies with a .384 batting average. Additionally, she has collected 33 hits, 22 RBIs, two home runs, 10 runs, and five doubles.

Muskingum wraps up its regular-season when they travel to clash with Mount Union on Saturday, May 6. Game one of the OAC doubleheader is slated for 1:00 PM.
