The #2 Muskingum softball team fell in its opening game at the Ohio Athletic Conference Softball Tournament against #3 Mount Union on Saturday, 8-0.

How it Happened

• After two scoreless innings, Mount Union struck first in the third off a two-run RBI single to center field.
• Mount Union plated a run in the fourth and erupted on a five-run fifth inning to secure an 8-0 victory.

Inside the Numbers

• Sophomore pitcher Madelyn Thomas fired 5.0 innings of work and tossed two strikeouts.
• Sophomore Kalie Eshelman led the Muskies with one hit.
