The Muskingum softball team swept Wooster in doubleheader action on Wednesday afternoon. The Muskies took game one in extra-innings 10-9 and dominated game two 10-0.

How it Happened – Game one
- Muskingum plated the first run of the game taking an early 1-0 lead.
- Wooster struck back plating three runs to take a 3-1 lead after the first inning.
- The top of the second saw the Muskies plate five runs off five hits to take a 6-5 lead.
- The Muskies took advantage of two Wooster fielding errors to set up an Osburn two-RBI double, and a Chorba RBI single to extend their lead 9-5 after four innings of play.
- Wooster singled up the middle to tie the ballgame at nine in the bottom of the seventh.
- A sacrifice bunt from Piteo to advance Boggs to third set up an Osburn RBI double to left-center gave the Muskies a 10-9 advantage in the eighth.
- Although Wooster had a runner in scoring position, they were unable to plate the tying run, as she was tagged out trying to score on a wild pitch.
- Muskingum captured a 10-9 victory.

- The Muskies had 10 runs on 13 hits.
- Freshman Alyssa Marlatt pitched 5.0 innings for the Muskies, securing her first win of the season. She registered four strikeouts.
- Sophomore Madelyn Thomas came in relief securing her first save of the season, she finished with three strikeouts.
- Senior Katie Osburn led the Muskingum bats with three hits and four RBIs.
- Sophomore Autumn Chorba added three hits and one RBI.
- Senior Cristianna Boggs and Junior Taylor Gallentine finished with two hits and one RBI apiece.
- Junior Sarah Piteo ended with two hits.
- Wooster was led by Molly Likins who had four hits and five RBIs.

How it Happened – Game Two
- Muskingum jumped out to an early 2-0 advantage after the first two innings of play.
- A Lamacz three-run blast to left-center extended the Muskie lead 5-0 in the third.
- The Muskie offense continued to stay hot in the fourth, as they plated three runs off four hits making it 8-0.
- Muskingum's final two runs came in fifth, off a Lamacz solo-home run and a fielders choice from Johnson.
Inside The Numbers
- Muskingum scored 10 runs on 12 hits.
- Senior Hannah Smith pitched five shutout innings to silence the Wooster bats, only allowing three hits. She finished with four strikeouts and added her seventh win of the season.
- Junior Carlee Lamacz belted two home runs and chipped in four RBIs to lead the Muskie offense.
- Senior Haley Hawk added three hits and two RBIs.
- Sophomore Madison Johnson and Junior Sarah Piteo added an RBI to pace the Muskie bats.
- Boggs and sophomore Kalie Eshelman rounded out the Muskie offensive effort with one hit apiece.
- Ciara Herbert, Kaydee Clark, and Katie Agatucci each had one hit apiece to pace Wooster.

Muskingum is back in action on Saturday, April 2, when they host OAC-foe Baldwin Wallace at Donna J. Newberry Field. Game one is slated for 1:00 p.m., with the second game to follow.
