The Muskingum softball team clinched a berth to the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament following its sweep of Baldwin Wallace on Saturday afternoon. The Muskies won the opener 11-3 in five innings and took game two, 7-1.
Muskingum will be the three-seed in the tournament, which is scheduled for May 6-8 at Otterbein, and play two-seed Ohio Northern in the opening game on Friday at 10:00 a.m. The double-elimination tournament, which features Muskingum, Ohio Northern, top-seed Otterbein and four-seed Heidelberg, will culminate with the tournament champion receiving an automatic bid to NCAA Division III Tournament.

Game 1
- Muskingum scored 11 runs on 13 hits.
- Junior Jessica Matthews, senior Amber Bova and senior Kelly Martin all hit home runs. Matthews hit a three-run shot, Bova belted a two-run blast and Martin smacked a solo long ball.
- Melissa Maiorano hit a two-run double and scored two runs.
- Senior Sarah Browning tossed 4.1 innings and allowed three runs on eight hits to improve to 7-4 on the season.
- Paige Loveless led BW with a solo home run.
- Erica Morgan (7-18) took the loss after going 1.2 innings and allowing five runs on six hits.
Game 2
- Freshman Rachel Eberling scattered eight hits and allowed one run to notch her eighth win of the season.
- The Muskies plated seven runs on 11 hits.
- Sophomore Amy Clark hit a solo home run and belted a two-run double to pace the Muskie bats.
- Matthews went 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
- Martin went 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI.
- Mackenzie Nelsen (0-3) suffered the loss after allowing seven runs (six earned) on 11 hits.
- Erica English led the Yellow Jackets going 4-for-4 and Alexis Boledovic went 3-for-3.
