The Muskingum University men's cross country team, under the guidance of seventh-year head coach Jacob Gleason, will look to a balanced squad in 2016 to pace the Muskies.

The Muskies welcome back four upperclassmen from last season's squad, including top runners senior Anthony Kall and Corey Dillon and sophomore Andrew Murray.

Kall posted a season best 8k time of 28:13.6 at the Jenna Strong Invitational and claimed a top three finish among Muskingum runners at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships.

Dillon also found his stride at the Jenna Strong Invitational posting a career-best time of 29:71.1, beating his previous time of 30:27.54 set in 2014.

Murray claimed a season best time of 29:28.27 at the All-Ohio Championships.

Junior Andrew Brown also found success on the course, as he posted a career-best time of 34:09.00 in 2015.

Freshman Dustin Hardesty, Douglas McIntire, Jacob McGee, and Joshua Weigand will look to provide depth this season.

Muskingum opens its season at home on Thursday, September 1 with the Muskingum Invitational.
