Men's Outdoor Track & Field competes at All-Ohio Championships where six Muskies earn All-Ohio Honors

The Muskingum men's outdoor track & field team competed at the All-Ohio Championships where they placed seventh with a team score of 62.

The Basics

On The Track

  • Whyte won the 400 meter dash with a time of 48.86 and secured All-Ohio honors.
  • Irwin finished in second place and secured All-Ohio honors after hitting a time of 15.13 in the 110 meter hurdles.
  • Speeth earned All-Ohio honors in the 10000 meter run after placing third with a time of 32:07.50.
  • The 4x400 meter relay team of junior Doudley Jaboin, Whyte, freshman James Jackson, and freshman Kohen Cox placed fifth with a time of 3:28.22.
  • The 4x100 meter relay team of Irwin, Jaboin, Whyte, and sophomore Noah Mitchell finished in eighth place with a time of 44.38.

In The Field

  • Gibson placed second in the high jump to earn All-Ohio honors after hitting a mark of 1.97 meters.
  • Makowski earned All-Ohio honors after placing second in the shot put event with a mark of 15.12 meters. Makowski also logged a fifth place finish in the hammer throw with a mark of 46.78 meters.
  • Jackson earned All-Ohio honors for his third place finish in the discus event where he logged a mark of 40.75 meters. Jackson also recorded a mark of 41.10 meters in the javelin throw to finish in sixth place, while also placing seventh in the hammer throw with a mark of 41.94 meters.
  • Freshman Thomas Christman finished seventh in the high jump with a mark of 1.86 meters.
