Muskingum freshman Daven Gibson and junior Colton Whyte were honored for their outstanding performances over the weekend by being named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Outdoor Track & Field Players of the Week.

Gibson, the OAC Field Player of the Week, hit a mark of 1.93 meters in the high jump event, which ranks Gibson 8th in the country at the NCAA Division III level.

Whyte, the OAC Track Player of the Week, hit a mark of 49.24 in the 400 meter dash event, which ranks Whyte 16th in the country at the NCAA Division III level.

Gibson and Whyte are both coming off impressive performances in the indoor track & field season and are looking to carry that momentum into the outdoor season.

The outdoor track & field team started their season this past weekend at the Washington & Lee Invitational. The team will be back in action on Friday, March 22, when they will be hosting and competing in the Amy Adams Memorial Invitational.
