Freshman Trey Gastrich notched a first-place finish in the long jump to lead the Muskingum men's track & field team at the Twilight Invitational hosted by Otterbein on Friday evening.
The Basics
- Location: Memorial Stadium – Westerville, Ohio
- Muskingum finished seventh out of the 19-team field with 44 points.
- Cedarville won the event with 110 points.
On the Track
- Freshman Ryan Irwin placed second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.81, while senior Seth Roseberry finished sixth with a time of 16.84.
- The 4x100-meter relay team of Gastrich, Irwin, Roseberry, and freshman Noah Mitchell placed fourth with a time of 44.14.
- Junior Wade Speeth ran a time of 15:26.32 in the 5,000-meter to finish seventh.
In the Field
- Gastrich won the long jump with a mark of 21-08.00.
- In the javelin throw, senior Preston Hershberger threw a mark of 38.89 meters to finish fifth, while freshman Zachary Amato placed eighth with a mark of 37.44 meters.
- Senior Tristan Makowski notched a second-place finish in the shot put with a mark of 14.31 meters. Makowski also finished sixth in the hammer throw with a mark of 46.21 meters.
