Makowski earns All-OAC honors to lead Men's Indoor Track & Field at OAC Championships

Senior Tristan Makowski broke the school record in shot put for the third time this year to help lead the men's indoor track and field team at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships.

Notables

  • Senior Tristan Makowski set the school record in shot put for the third time this season. He did so with a mark of 16.03 meters, which outdid his previous school record mark of 16.01 meters.
  • Makowski earned All-OAC honors for his performance in the shot put after finishing in second place. 
  • This was the first time the Ohio Athletic Conference indoor track & field Championships were held at Muskingum.

  • Muskingum scored 24 points as a team to finish ninth.
  • Mount Union won the event and was awarded Ohio Athletic Conference Champions for the 2023-24 indoor track & field season.

  • Makowski broke the school record in the shot put on his way to finishing second and earning All-OAC honors to lead the Muskies. Makowski hit a mark of 16.03 meters, breaking his previous school record mark of 16.01. 
  • In the triple jump, the Muskies had two finishes in the top 6. Sophomore Noah Mitchell logged a fifth-place finish with a mark of 13.19 meters, and Whyte added a sixth-place finish with a mark of 12.92 meters.
