Men's Indoor Track & Field finish fourth at the Muskie Meet #1

The Men's Indoor Track & Field team saw two individual first-place finishes, in rout to a fourth-place finish as a team.

The Basics

  • Location: Bullock Health and Wellness Complex – New Concord, Ohio
  • Muskingum scored 77.50 points as a team.
  • Denison won the team title with 118 points.

On the Track

  • Junior Colton Whyte won the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.09.
  • Musingum's 4x200 relay team of junior Colton Whyte, junior Cameron Scott, sophomore Noah Mitchell, and freshman Kohen Cox placed second with a time of 1:36.19.
  • Sophomore Ryan Irwin finished with a 8.63 in the 60-meter hurdles to earn fourth-place.
  • Junior Cameron Scott finished fourth-place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.65.
  • Freshman Sean Murdock finished the 800-meter run in sixth-place with a time of 2:13.91.
  • Junior Chance Carpenter finished the 1000-meter run with a time of 2:59.88 to finish ninth-place, while Shane Funk finished with a time of 3:00.22 to finish tenth-place.

In the Field

  • Freshman Daven Gibson had a 2.00 meter mark in the high jump to secure first-place.
  • Sophomore Noah Mitchell placed second in the Triple Jump with a 12.30 meter jump.
  • Senior Tristan Makowski finished in third-place in Shot Put with a throw of 13.97 meters, and finished third in the Weight Throw with a 14.77 meter throw.
  • Sophomore Trey Gastrich placed third in the Long Jump with a long of 6.46 meters, while freshman Thomas Christman finished eighth with a 5.66 meter jump.
  • Freshman William Jackson placed eighth in the Weight Throw with a 13.11 meter throw.
