Men's soccer ends season on Senior Day

The Muskingum men's soccer team ended its season on Senior Day with a 5-0 loss against John Carroll.

The Matchup

  • Records: Muskingum (4-14 overall, 1-8 OAC), John Carroll (12-4-1 overall, 7-2 OAC)
  • Location: New Concord, Ohio - at Muskie Field

The Game

  • Prior to the contest, Muskingum recognized seniors Brett Hanna, Tyler Craft, David Gebhardt and Logan Lazar.
  • John Carroll grabbed the early momentum with a penalty kick in the third minute by Jacob Lombardo.
  • The Blue Streaks added two more first half goals to take a 3-0 lead into the break.
  • John Carroll completed the scoring with two more goals in the second half.
  • Muskingum was paced by Lazar who registered four shots.
  • Hanna, freshman Alex Furst, freshman Chase Michael Hilliard, junior Antonio Meehan and junior William Debolt all logged one shot. 

In the Net

  • Freshman Daniel Jennings played the opening 45 minutes and allowed three goals and made seven saves. Freshamn Gabe Kral played the final 45 minutes and allowed two goals and made eight saves.
  • Liam McIntosh and Zach Fehrenbach combined to record the four-save shutout.
