The Muskingum men's soccer team battled through the scorching heat and a tough Bulldog squad to secure a big 1-0 road win at Adrian on Sunday afternoon.

How It Happened
- Muskingum sophomore Trent Newby scored the game-winning goal in the 56th minute on a blast to the near post from inside the box. The tally was the first of the season for Newby. He ended the outing with five shots, including four on frame.
- Muskie freshman Gage Toy aided the attack with three strikes, including one on frame.
- Muskingum junior Zach Schumauch, freshman Alex Furst and junior Kyle Baker all logged one shot.
- Muskingum ended the outing with 11 shots.
- Brandon Katona led the Bulldogs with seven shots and Shayan Shustari added six. Adrian ended the game with 31 shots.
- Adrian held a 12-3 edge in corner kicks.
Between The Pipes
- Freshman Gabriel Kral secured his first career shutout win by making nine saves in 90 minutes of work in frame.
- Lino Taormina played the entire game in goal and made six saves and allowed one goal.
