The Muskingum University men's soccer team fell short in a battle at Otterbein University on Saturday afternoon, 2-0.

The Muskies now stand at 5-8 overall and 0-3 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. Muskingum next travels to Marietta College on Tuesday, October 15. Game time is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.

Otterbein (6-6, 1-2) struck first in the fifth minute on a goal by Jared Pulliam.

The Cardinals added its final tally in the 15th minute on rebound off a saved penalty kick.

Muskingum senior Vinny Buzzetta led the Muskie attack with a pair of shots. Freshman Liam Roche, freshman Jacob Morris, junior Austin Mills and junior Luke Carmichael all added one shot.

Freshman Matthias Buchner played the opening 45 minutes in goal and recorded four saves and allowed two goals. Senior Will Hess played the final 45 minutes between the pipes and made four saves.
