The Muskingum University men's soccer team slipped 2-1 at Oberlin College on Saturday night.

With the loss, Muskingum moves to 3-2 overall. The Muskies next host Defiance College on Sunday, September 15. Game time is slated for 2:00 p.m. in McConagha Stadium and will feature Live Stats on the Muskie Sports Network.

Oberlin scored two goals in the opening 10 minutes of play to turn back the Muskies. The Yeomen ended the outing with a 17-6 advantage in shots and 8-4 edge in corner kicks.

Muskingum freshman Andreas Pfefferkorn scored his seventh goal of the season to lead the Muskies. His tally came in the 59th minute.

Freshman Mathias Buchner played all 90 minutes between the pipes and recorded eight saves, including a penalty kick late in the outing.
