Men's Lacrosse travels to Georgia to face Piedmont

The Muskingum men's lacrosse team traveled to Georgia to face off against Piedmont. The Muskies slipped to the Lions in a 16-7 contest.

The Basics

  • Records: Muskingum (4-2), Piedmont (6-1)
  • Location: Walker Athletic Complex (Soccer) - Demorest, Georgia

Inside the Numbers

  • Muskingum finished the game with 32 shots, 22 ground balls, and nine face-off wins.
  • Freshman Evan Cosgrove fired off two goals and one assist to lead the Muskies.
  • Senior Spencer Zecchini added one goal and one assist, while grabbing one ground ball and forcing one turnover.
  • Senior Jack Watts logged one goal and one assist. Watts also notched a ground ball and caused one turnover.
  • Freshman Andrew Beaudoin, freshman Liam Manning, and senior Grant Webster each added one goal.
  • Manning also grabbed three ground balls. 
  • Sophomore Jacob McDermott picked up four ground balls and caused one turnover.
  • Senior Trevor Connolly ended the contest with 15 saves and four ground balls after 60 minutes of action in goal.
  • Piedmont logged 45 shots, 42 ground balls, and 16 face-off wins in the game.
  • Pidemont was led by Isaac Harrington with four goals and one assist. 
  • Brady McGuire added three goals for the Lions.
  • Johnny Matrona had 10 saves in 53 minutes of action for Piedmont.
