Muskingum defeats Franciscan to continue the historic start to the season

The Muskies continued their historic start to their season, as they advanced to 4-0 record for the first time in program history on Wednesday night, with a 19-8 win over Franciscan.

  • The Muskies recorded 19 goals, 10 assists, 56 shots, 44 ground balls, nine caused turnovers, and eight saves.
  • Senior Spencer Zecchini led the Muskies as he had seven points. He recorded three goals and four assists. Zecchini had five shots on goal and four ground balls.
  • Senior Grant Webster added to the potent Muskingum offense with three goals and an assist. He also grabbed two ground balls.
  • Freshman Evan Cosgrove totaled five total points with his two goals and three assists, while obtaining two ground balls.
  • Senior Jack Watts scored three goals, with four of his five shots being on goal.
  • Junior Drew Schneider won 16-of-23 (69.5%) of his faceoffs. Schneider added nine ground balls and a goal.
  • Senior Hunter McGuire and senior Drew Davis each had two goals. Davis added a ground ball.
  • Freshman Dillon Caudill, sophomore Chipper Iacobucci, and freshman Kai Hundt each earned themselves a goal. Iacobucci added two ground balls, while Caudill and Hundt each tallied a ground ball.
  • Sophomore Jeremy Hollow had six saves with his time in the net and senior Trevor Connolly added two saves while standing in goal.
  • The Barons were led by Joseph James with four goals, eight ground balls, and an assist.
