Men's Lacrosse celebrates Senior Night

The Muskingum men's lacrosse team hosted Ohio Athletic Conference foe Baldwin Wallace for Senior Night on Wednesday in McConagha Stadium. The Yellow Jackets won the battle, 11-3.

Prior to the contest, Muskingum recognized seniors Joey Alford, Matt Allen, Cameron Godfrey, Cooper Conrad, Brock Yackey, Jalen McMahan, Nathan Caplan, Josh Foster and John Macre.

Yackey led the Muskie attack scoring his first two career goals on two shots. He also added a pair of ground balls and caused one turnover.

Freshman Zach Kern added the Muskie other tally off an assist from junior David DeGood.

Muskingum ended the outing with 16 shots. Kern led the charge with four shots and DeGood added three.

Freshman Phillip Dappen played all 60 minutes in frame and recorded a career-high 23 saves.

Baldwin Wallace (12-1, 4-1) was led by Shane Rakich and Brock Riemenschneider who each scored two goals. Vinny Carson added one goal and four assists to help spark the 54-shot attack.

Mike Dizonno made three saves in 60 minutes of work in goal.

Baldwin Wallace led 2-0 after the opening period and took a 6-1 edge into the break. 

The Yellow Jackets extended their margin to 7-1 after three periods and outscored the Muskies 4-2 in the final frame to complete the scoring.

The Muskie scoring highlight came in the fourth period on back-to-back goals by Yackey and DeGood over a 30-second span.

Muskingum (3-10, 0-5) concludes its season on Saturday, April 25 at John Carroll. Game time is slated for 7:00 p.m.
