Men's lacrosse falls at Mount St. Joseph

The Muskingum men's lacrosse team fell at Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday night, 7-5.

Sophomore Andrew Buchbinder led the Muskies scoring three goals on four shots and registering one assist. 

Senior Joey Alford and freshman Tucker Haas each scored a goal to help aid the Muskie 16-shot attack. Haas also recorded six ground balls and won seven faceoffs.

Sophomore Taylor Masterson made eight saves in goal and notched six ground balls.

Mount St. Joseph (2-5) was paced by Joey Ely who scored four goals. Trey Pinkstock had one goal and four assists. 

The Lions ended the night with 36 shots.

Mike Weil registered seven saves in 60 minutes of work.

Muskingum took a 4-3 lead into intermission. Mount St. Joseph responded in the third period with a three-goal surge to take a 6-4 edge into the final period. Pinkstock scored the final goal for the Lions at the 10-minute mark of the fourth period to help the Lions seal the win.

Muskingum (3-3) next hosts Thiel on Saturday, March 28. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start in McConagha Stadium.
