Landon Martin is entering his first year as assistant coach for the men’s basketball program.  

Before arriving in New Concord, Martin played for the Wittenberg University men’s basketball program where he was a four year letterman, 1,000 point career scorer, earned 1st team All NCAC (2022), NCAC Athlete of the Week (Feb 2022), and was named to the Great Lakes Invitational All Tournament Team (2022).

Martin is also a two-time NCAC regular season champion, two-time NCAC conference champion, and was on the team for three NCAA tournament appearences. His class record was 93-23 overall (2nd all time in school history), and he was a starter for the 28-2 team that was nationally ranked top 10 all year and reached the Sweet 16 (rest of tournament cancelled due to COVID). 

Martin was a Fitness Instructor for Performance Academies where he helped educate students (K-8) on many of the aspects of leading healthy lifestyles. Martin also added one year as a summer basketball coach for Nike Basketball where he practiced facilitating the moral development of young players along with teaching skills and fundamentals of basketball. 

Martin graduated from Wittenberg University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in sports administration and communication.
