Men’s Basketball stumbles at Marietta

The Muskingum men's basketball team fell to OAC-foe Marietta on Wednesday night. The Muskies will be back in action on Saturday, January 7, when they host Baldwin Wallace at 2:00 p.m.

  • The Muskies were led by freshman Logan Stotzer who finished with nine points and two rebounds.
  • Freshman Duane Davis added eight points and three rebounds off the bench, while sophomore Ethan Taylor notched seven points and two rebounds.
  • Junior Sean Johnson tallied six points for Muskingum, while freshman Kaelan Pulliam recorded five points and three rebounds.
  • Sophomore Zaveon Croff chipped in five points and three rebounds, and junior Luken Hill also added five points to go along with his two rebounds.
  • Senior Noah Begue and sophomore Jayden Humphrey both recorded team-highs in assists with two apiece.
  • Marietta was led by Lovenson Xavier with 13 points and five rebounds, while Jake Singleton also finished with 13 points for the Pioneers.
  • As a team, Muskingum shot 22-for-51 (43.1%) from the field, while Marietta finished 39-for-74 (52.7%) from the floor.
  • Marietta controlled the glass, finishing with a 47-28 advantage in rebounds.
  • Marietta forced 18 Muskingum turnovers and converted them into 29 points-off-turnovers. On the flip side, Marietta coughed up seven turnovers on the evening, and Muskingum converted them into nine points.
